Frequently Asked Questions
What issues do you treat?
We offer specialized care for adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, eating disorders, relationship challenges, identity exploration, grief, life transitions, personal/professional growth and more. What type of therapy is offered?
We provide individual, family, couples, group therapy and meal support sessions. Our team offers various evidence-based and integrative modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Somatic Experiencing (SE). We tailor our approach to each client’s needs.
Do you offer in-person or virtual sessions?
Yes! We offer both. In-person sessions take place at our St. Louis, MO office. Virtual sessions are available to clients residing in eligible states (CA, MO) via a secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform. How long are therapy sessions?
Typically sessions are 50 minutes, see the services page for more detail on the session type of your choice. There may be variability in session length based on your needs and the clinical recommendations. How often will I need to attend therapy?
This varies based on your goals. Most clients begin with weekly sessions, this is based on clinical need. As progress is made, frequency may shift. We'll collaborate with you to create a rhythm that feels supportive and sustainable.
How do I know if therapy is right for me or a loved one?
Therapy can be helpful for anyone navigating life’s challenges—whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, or just not like yourself. You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit. If you're noticing changes in your mood, behavior, relationships, sleep, appetite, or ability to cope, therapy may offer support and clarity.
Couples may consider therapy if communication feels strained, conflict feels unresolved, or you’re looking to strengthen connection and understanding.
Ultimately, therapy is about creating a safe, nonjudgmental space to explore thoughts, feelings, and patterns—with the support of someone trained to help. If you're unsure, we’re happy to help you decide if our services are the right fit.
What should I expect in the first session?
The first session is a chance for us to get to know you. We’ll explore your history, current concerns, and what you hope to gain from therapy. It’s also a time to ask questions and determine whether we're the right fit for you.
Can I request a specific therapist or change therapists later?
Absolutely. You can request a specific therapist based on specialties or personal preference. If at any point you'd prefer to work with a different clinician, we support that without judgment.
